The Belvedere Palace was built in the early eighteenth century as the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. It was an artwork of the famous Baroque architect, Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. The landmark is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and consists of Lower Belvedere Building, Upper Belvedere Building, and Orangery Garden.
Nowadays the Belvedere was somehow turned into a museum of the greatest collection of Austrian art and also complemented by the works of international artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Max Beckmann.
