Indian Institute of Management Ranchi
Indian Institutes of Management, IIMs was established in 2007 by 13 Public, autonomous institutes of management education and research in India. The establishment of IIMs was to provide quality management education throughout India’s largest cities, recruiting graduate students in areas of political economics and management consultancy. The Government of India announced on July, 2014 that it would establish 5 other institutes, to reach the demands of both local and international students in higher education.
Since 2007, the IIM Council has had plans to establish an institute that focused on research in Human Resource Management. Indian Institute of Management Ranchi, the ninth IIM was established in 2010 with IIM Calcutta as its mentor, started operations in July, offering a specialized Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM). In doing so, it has received widespread support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India.
