Lille Catholic University is one of the most prestigious private universities in France. Aalto University School of Business, founded in 1911, is not only the largest business school in Finland, but it is also Europe’s most internationally renowned management education institution. The school became a member of the European School of Management Committee in 1998, in which graduates are automatically granted qualification to purse master’s degree without examination requirements, and on top of the school’s master’s diploma, a diploma from the European School of Management Committee will be also be granted at the same time. Aalto University School of Business is the first prestigious business school in the Northern European countries to acquire all AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS accreditations. Moreover, the school was highly placed at No. 15 in the European Business School Rankings 2008, by Financial Times.

Copenhagen Business School is an independent business school originated from the five centuries old University of Copenhagen. Although the business school only has 90 years of history, and its campus is no comparison to the magnificence of the ancient buildings of University of Copenhagen, CBS is still a very well-known school in Europe, awarded No. 69 in Financial Times’ European Business School Rankings 2008. CBS currently collaborates with University of North Carolina (UNC) business school in the offering of cross-border business education program, known as the GLOBE (Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education), opening up a new conduit for international business education.

UEP was originally established as a department of the Czech Technical University in Prague, specializing in wholesale trade, banking and the organization of industrial companies. In 1949, the department joined the University of Political and Economic Sciences in becoming an independent university, and was then, in 1953, renamed University of Economics, commonly referred to as UEP. The university is comprised of 14,000 students and 600 full-time faculty, and uses Czech or English as the language of instruction. The French-speaking Universite catholique de Louvain is derived from the present Dutch-speaking Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Due to the language and cultural differences, in 1970, the government legislation split the university in two, making the Dutch-language section an independent Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, which remained in Leuven, while establishing a new university campus, the Université catholique de Louvain, for the French-speaking students. The founding of the French-speaking university, led to the birth of the new Leuven (Louvain-la-Neuve).
